From first upload to buyer-ready history.
Carchive is designed to be quick, low-friction and genuinely useful. Here's how it works from start to finish.
Add Your Vehicle
Enter your vehicle's make, model, year, registration, VIN, current odometer and any notes. Build a garage with as many vehicles as you own — daily drivers, motorcycles, classics, caravans, boats, trucks, work vehicles or the project sitting in the shed.
Each vehicle gets its own profile page and history timeline. You can add a photo, track the current odometer, and store any notes about the vehicle's quirks, known history or condition when you first added it.
Upload Your Records
Add photos, PDFs or emailed invoices for every piece of work on the car. Owner-maintained work is just as welcome as workshop invoices — Carchive supports both.
Upload a scanned workshop invoice, a photo of a paper receipt, or a PDF emailed to you by your mechanic. For home maintenance, you can log the work yourself and attach supporting evidence like photos, parts receipts or an odometer reading.
Build the Timeline
Carchive organises every record by date and category — servicing, tyres, brakes, battery, modifications and more. The result is a clean, chronological timeline of the vehicle's entire life under your ownership.
Each entry is tagged with a date, odometer reading, category and record type (Verified Invoice, Owner Maintained or Evidence Supported). You can filter by category or date range to find exactly what you're looking for.
Share When Selling
Export the complete history or transfer it to a new owner when you sell the vehicle. Hand over a record buyers can actually trust — not a pile of receipts and a vague claim of "full service history."
A Carchive history transfer gives the buyer a structured, chronological record with all attached documents. It's verifiable, organised and doesn't require them to take your word for it.
A note on AI scanning
AI-assisted invoice scanning is on the roadmap — it will automatically extract dates, odometer readings, supplier names, work performed and costs from uploaded documents. In the meantime, the MVP supports manual record entry and file upload, which covers most real-world use cases and doesn't require you to wait for the AI to be right.
Instead of a vague claim, a complete record.
Instead of "full service history", buyers see an organised archive backed by documents. That's the difference.
14 categories to cover every kind of work.
Every record you add is tagged with one of these categories, making it easy to filter, search and present your history in a way that makes sense.
